My curser is being irratic. I have a laptop with Windows XP. I have no idea how to fix it. I'll be in the middle of typing and it will just jump to another part of the page. It's very frustrating.

This often happens if you accidentally hit the touchpad with your palm while typing. Some laptops have the ability to temporarily disable the touchpad. Look at the options for yours. It may be a button near the touchpad or the option may be in Control Panel>Mouse. Hi I had this problem with Vista on my Dell laptop for several years and could find no solution. I recently covered the touchpad with two layers of plastic tape (2inch Scotch Sealing Tape) and the problem went away. Low tech but it worked.
